Tolga Sezer, joined back Aujan Group Holding in 2012 as its Chief Commercial Officer and a member of the Executive Committee. He is also directly in charge of all Aujan operations in Iran as the Group CEO
Tolga Sezer had assumed the role of General Manager, marketing at Ülker international, between 2012 and 2012 with a focus of accelerating growth of international business.
In 2008 Sezer joined Ülker group; one of the oldest food production companies of Turkey, a market leader operating 65 companies over four divisions, with the company’s traditional area of expertise, biscuit and chocolate manufacture, remaining as the core business. He was in charge of all dairy, beverages, coffee and the youth segment of confectionery categories as its General Manager, marketing.
In 2007, Sezer was appointed Executive Vice President, Aujan Industries. In his new capacity he managed sales, marketing and logistics functions.
He joined Aujan Industries in 2004 as its VP Marketing holding overall marketing responsibility for Aujan’s own brands – Rani, Barbican, Vimto and Hani. Sezer looks back at an outstanding record of excellence in youth-focused marketing across the Middle East. A compelling leader with a strong vision, he has been the key driving force behind Aujan’s fast growth and achievement in brand development. Sezer played a crucial role in the grand design and implementation of Aujan Industries’ “555 Strategy” – a plan to boost the company’s annual turnover to $500 million, within five years, through five brands at the time. Combining global best practices, a profound knowledge of the region and an excellent insight into the youth’s mindset, he established a team of highly motivated and professional marketers.
Sezer has considerable industry experience, having previously worked with Unilever for nine years. In his last designation, he managed Unilever’s marketing operations in Turkey and Central Asia for its beverages category. He gathered extensive experience in beverages marketing throughout his stint at Unilever, working for Lipton from sales all the way to marketing management. Some of his greatest personal achievements during his tenure in Unilever were: successful launch of Lipton Ice Tea brand, establishment of Lipton OOH business and a revolutionary approach to brand activation.
Tolga Sezer is a Turkish national. He has a degree in Economics from the University of Istanbul. He is married with a three years old son. His interests include Ottoman medals & orders, gourmet concepts and sailing.
